Since January 2021, Chu Xu and Robin Sharma, under the direction of Adam Dubé, have collaborated with Ubisoft’s Discovery Tour game development and web development teams to create curriculum guides for Discovery Tour: Ancient Greece, Ancient Egypt, and Viking Age. The curriculum guides will facilitate the adoption of video games for educators by giving suggestions on how to use the games to teach a range of topics, from math to 21st century skills. A mixed-methods research project is also being conducted to collect empirical data about the effectiveness of the curriculum guides in facilitating teachers’ acceptance and knowledge of adopting games into classrooms.
